Why normal cleaning doesn't touch it

Hard water stains aren't dirt sitting on glass, they're mineral deposits bonded to it. When sprinkler spray or gutter runoff dries in the sun, the water leaves and the calcium and magnesium stay. Layer that over a few seasons and you get the cloudy white haze that no amount of squeegee work will shift.

You'll usually see it worst on the lower panes facing a lawn, or on the side of the house where runoff sheets down after rain.

How we treat it

We assess the glass first, in person, and test a small area to see how the deposits respond. Then the affected panes are treated with restoration products designed for glass, worked gently, and rinsed and finished like a normal clean so there's no residue left behind.

Tinted glass, coated glass and older single-pane windows all behave differently, which is why we test rather than assume.

Honest about what's possible

Fresh and moderate spotting usually comes off completely. Deposits that have sat for years can etch into the surface of the glass, and etching is physical damage, no product reverses it. Where that's the case we'll tell you before you spend money, show you the difference between what will clear and what won't, and let you decide.

We would rather turn down work than take payment for a result we can't deliver.

Keeping it from coming back

Point sprinkler heads away from the house, keep gutters and downspouts clear so rain isn't running across the glass, and put the windows on a regular cleaning schedule. Deposits need time to bond; regular cleaning never gives them that time.
